Fire rated

Our CE marked hinges have been tested to meet BS EN 1935:2002, using an 8-digit coding system. Each digit refers to a particular feature of the product measured against the standards performance requirements such as strength, robustness, durability and suitability for fire/smoke door applications. Our CE marked hinges are also tested for fire resistance, to help restrict the initial development of the fire, to restrict the spread of the fire and to protect escape routes.

  • CE Grade 7 butt hinge

    Our Grade 7 hinges are medium-duty hinges, designed for use on doors of up to 40kg mass. These hinges have been tested for durability up to 200,000 cycles. They are also CE marked, indicating they have been tested to meet BS EN 1935:2002.

  • CE Grade 11 butt hinge

    Our Grade 11 hinges are heavy-duty hinges, designed for use on doors of up to 80kg mass. These hinges have been tested for durability up to 200,000 cycles. They are also CE marked, indicating they have been tested to meet BS EN 1935:2002.

  • CE Grade 13 butt hinge

    Our Grade 13 hinges are severe-duty hinges, designed for use on doors of up to 120kg mass. These hinges have been tested for durability up to 200,000 cycles. They are also CE marked, indicating they have been tested to meet BS EN 1935:2002.
