Wildlife Conservation Group The Wildlife Conservation Group, run by unpaid volunteers aims to keep local wildlife safe by protecting and conserving wildlife and the natural habitat for the public benefit. Thanks to a change in circumstance, group has been able to amalgamate its previously fragmented set-up, by creating a centralised operations base to help with conservation project planning, education, training and as a general operations site. Help from UNION, who donated its StrongBOLT™ mortice sash locks, took the project one step further towards completion. Providing the wildlife centre with a hardware product that not only meets the relevant British Standards but also provides increased protection against most forms of lock attack. The UNION StrongBOLT™ features radius inner forends for ease of first fit installation or simple retro fit replacement. Available in sash lock and deadlock variants, the product is tested to BS3621:2007 and BS EN 1634-1, assessed for use on 60 minute timber fire doors. The sash lock version is non-handed with an easily reversible latch bolt. The latch head featured a radius design for smooth operation.
