New look for UNION packaging highlights brand strengths

New look product packaging, with strong branding and clear product information, is now appearing across the range of UNION Architectural Hardware products.

The new packaging retains the traditional UNION brand logo and strong red colourway, complemented by a cooler grey and black type, printed on a white box carton or visipack.

The long -standing UNION brand strengths of quality, reliability and expertise also feature proudly on the packaging, together with a more prominent ASSA ABLOY logo, reinforcing UNION’s pedigree as part of the world’s largest lock group.

The new packaging is being launched following customer feedback both in the UK and internationally, as Head of Marketing, Tina Ainsworth explains:

“ Customers told us they thought we were under-selling the strength of the UNION name as a high quality, professional trade range of locks and architectural hardware, with its “Best Of British” heritage. This was given even more emphasis with the loss of the Chubb brand where so many Chubb products are now migrating into the UNION range.”

“ As well as refreshing and modernising the packaging design, strengthening its professional trade appeal, we have also improved the clarity and visibility of labelling, so that products are easier to identify quickly. We have also improved the pack protection for some products.”

“ For international markets, we hope the new designs will frustrate counterfeit manufacturing, which is a growing problem as the UNION brand becomes more popular in many parts of the world”
