Logo type

When the UNION logo is used, it must only be in the form of the original logotype. This can be obtained in digital format by downloading using the links (see right), by contacting UNION at info@uniononline.co.uk or by using the Enquiry Form.

The original white logo in Pantone 485 box should be used where possible, otherwise the UNION text can be used alone in white, Pantone 485 red or black.

The UNION logo must not be produced in any other format, represented in three dimensions or distorted as an image. If it is to be used in an environment where the standard format does not work, such as a video film, approval must be obtained from the UNION Brand Manager.

Cut-out letters may be used for larger signs at exhibitions but the thickness of the letters must not exceed their width.

Wherever the UNION name is used it should be shown in upper case, for example: UNION. It should not be used as either lower case, for example: union, or a combination of upper and lower case, for example: Union. This will ensure that the text always reinforces the brand.

Colours
The colour of the logotype is:

The logotype should always be reproduced in PMS for stationery, business cards and correspondence cards.

The minimum size for all printed matter is 15mm long.

Logotype Exclusion Zone
To maintain the logotype's visual characteristics, a clear space around it is required. The clear space around the logotype must be at least the
height of an upper-case character (X).

The logotype may not be used in body text, and may not be placed near the edges when used in printed matter.

If the logotype is longer than 100mm, the clear space may be reduced to a minimum of 1/2 X.

APPLICATION OF UNION LOGO IN NON-ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Where a non-English version of the UNION logo is used its design must be approved by the UNION Brand Manager prior to the introduction.

In every instance it will be protected through trademark registration in the relevant countries.
