UNION grew out of a family business set up in 1840 in the Willenhall district of the West Midlands - the heart of the British lock-making industry for over four centuries.

The company - Josiah Parkes & Son Ltd - grew rapidly, necessitating a move to new premises in UNION Street in 1882 - and with it was born a name that is now recognised in over 80 countries.

UNION is committed to applying innovative design principles to the production of locking hardware. Continuing product development is a large part of this ethos - and one that directly benefits users, specifiers and installers to achieve the levels of security and aesthetics they require.
